XP Pro with printer problems

printer problems at websites

a friend has a 4 year old HP Office Jet G85 printer/fax/scanner/copier. when he tries to print a web page the printer button blinks, then nothing prints from a webpage, email,etc..
he needs to shut down the printer and the PC, reboot and it will print a document in Microsoft Word.
Here is the error message he gets:

Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage.
Please wait while Microsoft configures Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage.
any ideas how to fix this so it will print online web pages?

Try the procedure outlined here, including any updating of drivers, and see if that helps?

It is not something silly like an empty color cartridge?
