Trying to use native XP Pro with Intel VPN gateway and using IPSEC tunnel to establish a connection. Followed article from Intel webiste on how to set-up connection for Win2K but still does not work.
Really wierd! When configuring each end to either authenticate using DES or just 3DES the gateway just says...
Mismatch cfg, ESP enc alg, reqd DES, cfgd 3DES (from client)
Note: Info from syslog.
If I change them then it just says the opposite! AARRGGhhh!
It also does the same with the Authentication Header (AH) i.e. You set MD5 and it wants SHA1 and vice versa.
Am I missing something???
On the article from Intel it specifies there is IP property whereby you can set the IP Security policy per connection...
i.e. IP Properties window under options tab.
However this doesn't seem to be present in XP Pro
ftp://download.intel.com/support/netstructure/vpn/gateway/configure_l2tp.pdf
Look forward to some much needed help.
Thanks
