Hi.

We have 10 new computers that came with with XPpro to put in our library. We are considering removing XPpro and putting on Windows 2000 because we are more familiar with it. What are your thoughts?

Also, in XPpro, how do we get a login screen to appear when we boot up. We want to be able to set up and select administrator and library user profiles. Right now it doesn't ask for a username and password, it just jumps into some default profile.

Help?

You can make XP look more like 2k ('classic' interface). I personally still prefer 2k - but XP is newer, will be supported longer, and they're pretty similar, really. But itsyour decision. Obviously extra work installing 2k - but also XP familiarisation time...

I'd keep XP - the world's always moving on!
