Hello,

I'm running XP Pro SP2. I set up a vpn server following some directions I found online. I set up a connection on the same machine connecting to my internal IP (192.168.0.xxx).

This works fine. It connects.

I have a D-Link di 614+ router (which supposedly supports VPN). PPTP and IPSEC passthrough are turned ON and it's forwarding port 1723 TCP (off the top of my head... maybe that's wrong, but it's right in the config for sure) to my VPN server's IP.

When I replace my internal IP with my external IP provided by my ISP, it hange on verifying username and password and eventually gives a 628.

Please help me! This is incredibly frustrating!

Thanks,
PulsarSL
