XP Pro Taskbar Icons 2

Upgraded from XP Home to Pro. Can not move any Icons to Taskbar (bottom of desktop). Any Icon I drag to the taskbar gets a circle with a diagonal line through it, disallowing the action. How on earth do it.

Go to the Help and Support program and type Quick Launch in the search box. See if the results supplied are what you are talking about.
