Seen: Application of Service Pack on a new (setup in February), rarely used (spare workstation for 2 person lawfirm with 2 other machines, one for each attorney) computer, resulted in some exceptionally long login delays (didn't actually wait, but at least 5 minutes before I cut power - the system would wait on "Applying Computer Settings" (before the logon prompt appeared) with a network cable attached. Disconnect the network cable, problem went away. Then same problem AFTER you enter user name and password if the cable is attached. Uninstalled SP3, problem disappeared. Maybe a coincidence... maybe not.
Heard: Folder Redirection issues - I've seen posts on newsgroups and forums suggesting that the application of the service pack breaks folder redirection in some circumstances and after uninstalling, folder redirection works again.
Something to add...after SP3 install, when I went from my Companyweb to "Remote Server Management" in IE6 to connect to the server I received a warning box that said the ActiveX control was missing. I loaded IE7 and the same thing happened.
After researching the error message on the Web, I learned that the Microsoft Terminal Services Client add-on is disabled by default in SP3. Solving the problem was as easy as Tools==>Add-Ons==>Enable MSTSC.
Now I'm off to re-install IE6... Hope this helps someone.
