XP Pro: Remote Sessions Error

Guys, I had just format a PC and installed XP pro.

i tried to enabled the remote sessions, but received error when applying changes.

"Cannot Save Settings to Registry"

I looked thru google but see no such error EVER pop up.
am I missing something?

by the way, i can enabled using the regedit instead. goto fsdenyconnectiong and set it to 0.

i did a reg clean and fixed some error, but can't seems to fix this problem.

this is a newly format machine...

Are you an Administrator? Is the machine part of a Domain? In either case are there any Group Policy settings thwarting your attempts?

Have you any firewall or other security programs that you need to set preferences in?

Does resetting the security permissions back to default help at all?

How do I restore security settings to the default settings?
