XP Pro Intranet. Enabling remote scripting

I had to reformat my PC due to a virus. Now I am going through the pain of setting up everything agin.

I have a few intranet sites on my computer that utilize remote scripting for data retrievals. Well, something in XP Pro IIS is blocking them from working.

Anybody know what needs to be done?

You may need to enable remote scripting through DCOM.

If you suspect IIS, have a look at the event log. It is normally quite good at reporting what it doesn't like.
