XP Pro IE6 Problem

When I first start IE6 and click on hyperlinks, they get the little dotted box around them letting me know that I have actually clicked them.
However, the more I use it, the little box stops appearing.
Its not exactly a big problem, but its a bit annoying because I'm unsure on whether or not I've clicked the link if the page is slow to load.

Anyone know what this is and how to fix?

might want to download IE6 service pack on the windows update...
