OK, this is gonna seem weird.

I have an XPPro system sharing it's internet connection with ICS. The client (XPPro also) computer can surf the 'net via the shared connection, but has another NIC in it connected directly to the cable modem. The problem (and it's not really a 'problem') i'm having is that I want my client machine to always access the 'net via the second NIC connected directly to the cable modem, but ICS forces the client computer to use the shared internet connection instead. The only way for me to get the client directly on the internet is to disable the NIC for the local network.

Any ideas?

Disable ICS on the host machine. Check TCP/IP properties on both machines and give them static IP addresses for the local lan. Say 192.168.0.1 for the Host, subnet 255.255.255.0, gateway 127.0.0.1; do the same for the second computer NIC connected as a lan adapter, but use a static ip of 192.168.0.2

Set the internet properties for lan adapter connected to the modem to "Obtain an IP address automaticly."
