Using IE7 and XP pro, in IE7 I press Tools\Manage Addons/Enable or Disable Addons and nothing happens.
I would appreciate your advise.

Run an SFC /SCANNOW first followed by re-registering the IE7 DLLs.

START RUN sfc /scannow click [OK]
Note the space between sfc and /

Then Open a command prompt and re-register these DLLs:
START RUN CMD
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
regsvr32 Urlmon.dll
regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 Msjava.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Browseui.dll
regsvr32 Shell32.dll

Reboot and check it out.

Next step: Install IE8

Next step: Install Firefox, never use use IE again

I thank you both for the info.
I was still having problems after trying the suggestions.
I finaly reinstalled IE7 and now everything working OK, including my previous addins.
