My problem is as follows:- After a program crash where word or excel fails to reconnect to a remote file on the main server the user is then unable to log back on. The dialoge box with the message "loading users settings" remains on the screen. It has been known after 40 mins to resolve itself but in most cases a power down is required.
Following a power down the only way to log back on to the work station is to log on as another user, then log off and then back on as the original user. Has anyone out there had and solved this problem
