I am experiencing a problem with only WinXP workstations being able to dynamically register with DNS.
we are running BIND DNS and DHCP from a FreeBSD machine.
Our desktop environment is a mix of WinXP and older Win2K machines. The Wink2K machines are able to register correctly.
The only error in the event log of the workstation reads like this:
The Security System could not establish a secured connection with the server DNS/sever.domain.gov. No authentication protocol was available.
I have seen much conflicting info on what this means, none of which addresses my XP-only problem.
any help would be much appreciated!
