My W7 machine used to have Intel Virtualization switched off. It ran XP mode and VMware happliy. Then I installed VirtualBox and it wouldn't run unless Intel Virtualization was switched on. So I went into the BIOS and switched it on.

Virtual Box ran
VMWare ran
XP Mode said that Intel Virtualization was switched off so it couldn't run.

I went back into the BIOS and switched off virtualization. Now

Virtual Box doesn't run
VMWare runs
XP Mode runs.

Any idea how I can get XP Mode to work with Virtualization switched on?

Never mind, I've figured it out.

1) Shutdown all XP mode VMs
2) Restart PC, change BIOS to switch on Virtualization, Save
3) Restart PC

Now XPMode, VMWare and VirtualBox will run with Virtualization switched on. It is just strange that XP mode recognized that it started with virtualization switched off and insisted on having it switched off when it came out of hibernation.
