hi,

Trying to set up a mixed ME and XP network there are four machines (2XP 2ME) The XP's can see each other and the ME's can see each other but none can see 'cross-platform'.
Subnet masks are all the same IP's all in same range and workgroup name is same on all, can ping all ways succesfully. All can print to external RIPS/ print servers on network. All machines and print servers/RIPS are on static IP's.

One of the XP machines has a shared printer attached and all the other machines can print to it including the ME's.

Any advice greatly appreciated!!

Have you shared the hard drives or directorys on the machines you want to access?

Unix IS user friendly... It's just selective about who its friends are.

yes have shared certain folders as required, root of drives not shared for security reasons. Any further ideas appreciated.....
