XP Loses Printer Setting after Reboot

We have one Windows XP Home Edition unit on our LAN. There is an HP Printer attached to the it. The printer also needs to be accessed across the network.
Whenever the system is rebooted, all of the printer settings are lost and have to be reinstalled.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have you updated printer drivers from HP's site? That would be my starting point. What model printer?

It's an HP4050N. I will update the drivers and see if that helps.
