XP Language barrier

For some reason this XP has lost its british keyboard settings, and I don't know how to get them back.

I have gone into control panel - regional settings, and clicked every uk bit I could find, but Shift and 3 still comes out ### can't get a UK Pound sign, and the qotes are where... usual thig, can't figure it out though please help.

Try to go to the language option in the control panel, and you'll find just what you need...

Try using System Restore to go back to when your computer settings worked.

This turned out to be a checkbox within the regional settings bit. I was confused as I am used to dropdown boxes. and I had exhausted those. thanks guys
