I think this is an XP issue, if not please assist me by pointing me to the right forum.
Had problems with the Router on my XP network yesterday (19th Nov), turns out it was the ISP. However in the meantime, the manufacturer of the Router (whom I had also contacted with connection problems thinking it might be a router issue until I found out otherwise) sent me the firmware upgrade - firmware was upgraded fine and now I am back online fine on all machines, however one PC on the network connected to the Router is showing the "Network Card" AND the "Internet Connection/Internet Gatway" icon under Network Connections - so I can have two icons on the task bar (one for the network card, one for the internet connection).
The other machine is not, and is only showing the "Network Card" when I open the folder Network Connections, because of this I dont see the Internet connectin icon on the task bar, and under Network Connections there is no icon I can do properties on to allow this to be ticked? Although I am online fine, and its all working correctly.
Is this a registry setting on this machine that needs fixing? or is there something I need to do to re-get my "Internet Connected" icon back?
Cheers for any help
Chris
