I just try to install a windows XP on a new computer. My CD works great.

In the setup, maybe at 8-10 minutes before the end, the screen goes black and the power light is flashing.

red light of the computer working on hard disk is still on, i wait for about 5 minutes and nothing happen. So i reboot and reinstall, same problem. Tried another XP cd, same problem. So i will let this computer working all night to see if something happen (can a XP installation works the last minutes with screen close?).

I install XP many times and i see nothing like that.

Can someone help me?

. My first thought is whether there are any power management settings in the BIOS?

Sounds like a hardware compatability issue. Try removing all your cards except video and all drives except primary HD and the cd you're using to install.
