When upgrading a hp pavilion 753n from xp-home to xp-pro I get the following error message installation can't continue until the following is resolved "nvidia agp filter"conflict not supported in this version of windows?Any idea's would be much appreciated.Does this have something to do with the video card?

Yes, it has something to do with your video card, but I'm not quite sure what 'AGP filter' is. I would uninstall the nvidia drivers from control panel, add/remove programs. Reboot & let XP home find whatever drivers it wants to use. Then upgrade to XP pro. Then update the video drivers.

Thanks, already tried that,no avail !!This is getting crazy!!

Have you tried removing the video adapter directly from device manager? Reboot & let windows find whatever it wants. If this doesn't work, the next course of action would be to get into your adapter properties then 'update driver'. But this time, don't let windows search - manually select standard display adapters & standard VGA. Reboot and then see if you can run the XP pro upgrade.

Well turns out that all i needed to do was change the type installation from a upgrade to a full installation, when I changed that all went smooth. Thanks for all the help !!
