XP Home Prints Web Pages very slowly.

New Compaq PC (2.6 Celeron) running Windows XP Home.

When printing web pages the old Windows 98 Gateway PC sent
the job to the printer and the pages printed one after
another. After one page is printed the next pages starts
printing immediately.

When print jobs are sent from the new Compaq to the printer it ejects one page pauses for 25-40 seconds before it
commences printing the next page.

The Advanced Printer properties are set to Spool documents
so that program finishes printing faster and start
rpinting immediately.

AND

THe enhanced printing feature is ENABLED.

It's on LPT1

I need this printer to print web pages as fast as the
5 year old Gateway running Windows 98.
