XP Home freezes resuming from hibernation 1

Curious: XP Home has suddenly started to freeze when it is almost finished resuming from hibernation on my Toshiba laptop. The only solution is to let the power run out and start up again. But it's happened several times. How to prevent it?

By the way, the Microsoft Knowledge Base doesn't have any articles on it that I can find in response to searching for "resume from hibernation."
