XP forcing mapped drive authentication every boot

We have a user that is accessing mapped drives and exchange via outlook. He logs in locally (not to the domain). Been running fine for years but now forced to authenticate on the domain when accessing a mapped drive and Exchange via Outlook. Any hints on cause/fix?
