Using Windows XP Professional and Windows 2000 Advanced Server, with Active Directory, we are redirecting our users my documents folder to a server share. Periodically we have users that cannot get to there my documents folders. We are able to map a network drive to the same location and they gain access.

If we blow away the local profile on the machine and create a new one it works fine.?

One error that is consistent is Security Descriptor event ID 112. I can't find anything in-depth on this.

Has anyone had this similar problem?

I would (just as linney did above) believe an NTFS permissions problem. You might also check that your licensing on the Win2k server has enough room, as you may be being denied for license reasons.
