Hi All,

Is it possible to share a folder between three home computers in the same workgroup with XP SP2, but with the firewall turned on? If so, how? I need them to be able to share a "Lotus notes" file, with Lotus notes being installed on each machine. Thanks in advance!

Best Regards,
Don

yes, turn on File Sharing on each machine and check your Firewall settings for each.

Eyec,

Thanks...and Good Morning. Sorry, one more question. What do you mean exactly when you mention "check firewall settings"? I can't see in the settings for firewalls regarding adding a folder.

Best Regards,
Don

open Firewall click on Exceptions & make sure the File Sharing box is checked

And.... you should make that exception so that it only applies to computers your local subnet, not all computers on the internet.
