Ok I have a 2000 server Domain and about 50 workstations. I have an xp machine hosting a time clock application. I have 3 computers connecting to this system so I am under the xp limit. This set up has been working for 3 months. I come in today and get this (The local device name is already in use. this connection has not been restored) Normally I just reboot and the connections fix them self’s failed this time. I can find the computer on the domain but I cant see its shared drives under it. no computer can .on the domain any more. I have unshared it and shared it with not luck tried rebooting the time clock computer no luck. The time clock computer can see the domain and works just fine and it can see its own shares. Any help would be great thanks,I just don’t know what to do to trouble shoot this anymore.
