XP File Properties Summary Tab not showing Data

We have a network drive where alot of images a stored. To assist searching we use the file properties summary page to load keywords for use in searching.

They are visible on the workstation that created the keywords, using different logins, but no other workstation can see the keywords.

Does anyone know if the summary data attached to a file is local to the creating workstation or should they be visible to anyone with read access to the network drive ?

Machines are primarily XPSp1a but have tried on a XPsp2 machine and have the same problem.

The data is available to a remote user. Experiment by giving the remote user complete control over the folder and its contents to see if it will then enumerate the Summary data. I believe you need to have write and modify priviliges.
