I am currently evaluating XP embedded thin clients for possible deployment throughout our organization. I'm not sure if it's possible but I would like to configure the ICA connection on these thin clients to automatically log on to the Citrix server without using local profiles. These machines use a write filter that does not let anything get written to the cache unless disabled by an Administrator. Since memory is limited it would not be a good idea to disable this as some profiles could get large and multiple users could easily max it out.
I have joined the thin client to the domain and added an ICA connection to the startup on the Default Users local group on the thin client. This allows automatic connection for whomever logs in however they are prompted to enter their password again which I would like to avoid. I want as little user intervention as possible.
If anyone out there has experience in this or has any ideas I would be greatful.
Thanks
