Fentek says their device is plug and play, and does not need any additional driver.
ANd in fact, the device driver is for a PS/2 mouse. But unlike laptops I've worked with, this glidepad does NOT have any way to adjust the 'sensitivity' of the mousepad, so it is EXTREMELY easy to accidentally brush it and find as you're typing away, that the cursor is somewhere else, or that you've acidentally sent the email you were still composing, etc.
I've tried downloading a Synaptics "touchpad" driver and got a 'critical error' during the install. Which is too bad, cause I think it was synaptics in the DELL portables I've used that have that feature.
I tried installing an Alps glidepad, and that's equivalent to the PS/2 mouse - nothing special about glidepads in fact.
Anybody know how I can get that driver fuctionality? Fentek tek support is of no use... OR maybe there is a keyboard w/ glidepad/touchpad that DOES support that feature?
thanks. peter
