XP downgrade to 2000

I currently have Windows xp home edition. I want to get rid of it and everything else on the hdd and install windows 2k pro.
When i try to install, it says its an older version of windows then the one i am presently using, and the setup functionality will be disabled.
If anyone knows how i can downgrade, please let me know.

Boot from your 2000 CD and use Setup to Delete, Create and Format Partitions. Don't start it from within a later Window's installation.
