XP desktop icons problem

my desktop icons are being pushed down below the task bar. I can't see them to open them. Anyone ever run into this? I have looked at all the desktop settings, and themes. Nothing has fixed it. it's aggrevating because when I add a file or shortcut to the desktop, I can't ever find it to use it.

nevermind, I figured it out.

It was some third party graphics video card setting that caused it.
