XP denies DVD-ROM access!

XP Pro has all of a sudden denied access for everyone - Admin and all - to the DVD drive. I did nothing (I hope) to do this but am unsure how to fix it.

Any ideas?

Try using System Restore to go back to a point where everything worked.

I've got a DVD prob as well. Nvidia gforce 2 ultra card, pioneer 116 DVD. Barnd new PowerDVD4 software. Can't play any DVD; get message about TV out port malfunction..

I've put in queries to the suppliers - no replies yet..

Make sure that the deny access to CD-ROM security setting is not holding you back. I belive this under Local Policies - Security Settings. It may have been turned on by a software install. Hope this helps
