Hello all,
At the office there is a windows 98 SE machine that also acts as a dial-up server. I can connect to it from home just fine, and map network drives etc.....when I use my 98 box.
I just can't seem to connect to it using windows 2000 or windows XP for that matter. Each time I dial in, it says that I have failed authentication. I can connect using the same credentials with a 98 machine, but not with 2k or XP Pro.
It is a peer2peer network that I am connecting to. I have tried other 2k and XP Pro machines elsewhere and I am still not able to connect. As far as I know, I am using the
basic settings and not encryption etc.... Has anyone ben able to dial in to their private network with 2K or XP Pro?
PS using the same modem for all machines
Thanx in Advance
