XP - Briefcase

I've been using 'Briefcase' to sync various files - This has worked fine untill now - When I checked half the files are now missing - Cannot find them and I do not believe that I have deleted him in error as they would be in the recycle bin

Any one any ideas?

Are they missing from the original source as well?

I believe all the offline folder features work in a similar fashion: if you delete the file in one location, at synchronization they are removed from all locations.

The synchronization removal works similarly to the delete on a network shared volume: the recycle bin is not used.

Yes - they seem to be missing from both locations! The strange thing is I know I have not deleted them so must have missed it with the sync was working and deteleted them in that proocess - a bit dangerous! Lesson Learnt!
