Hi All ...... my problem is this my computer is set up in the new XP view ie just click on your name enter pw and your in.

Now for some reason all the accounts have disapeared and Im left with no account names showing.

When I installed XP I set an administers account up and entered a pw however when I try to access this account through safe mode I cannot get to type my user name and pw.

So how do I revert back to classical view so that I can type the defaut admin name and pw.

Thanks for any suggestions Dene

====Solution 1====
I think there's a problem with your logonui.exe file.
Try installing XP again over the current one.
Don't worry, your files won't be lost.

====Solution 2====
Start in command prompt.
Put your XP CD.
Copy logonui.exe from the CD.
Paste it in C:\windows\system32

I'm not sure about the solutions but... anyways, you won't lose important files.

Have fun.

Performing an In-Place upgrade is what is discussed above as the first solution. Do not do a installation as this will loose settings. Take a look at
To switch the type of login screen see, boot into safe mode. Start > Settings > Control Panel > User Accounts > Change The Way Users Log On or Off > Untick "Use the Welcome Screen".
