Xp authentication

Hello

I have a problem with my windows 2000 pc and our new server

We have 5 site all of which run Win nt4 bdc which authenticate users in each site. We recently upgraded our PDC to windows 2000 with active DIR and now all the 2000 pc and xp pc authenticate an the PDC only and not the BDC.

Can i stop this

Windows 2000/XP workstations will seek out a Win2k DC to authenticate to. Only if none is available will they authenticate to NT. The reason is GPOs and such can only run from Win2k and only work on Win2k/XP so they always try to locate a Win2k server.
