Seems like XP and 98 don't like to 'play nice'.

Here is my client's situation:

Desktop Machine running Windows 98. Laptop running XP Pro.
Desktop has PCI Wireless card. Laptop has Wireless PC Card.
Both connect and receive IP's from Netgear router. Both connect to internet, no problem. They, however, do NOT see each other.

Yes, file and print sharing is enabled. Yes there are items shared on both sides. Any thoughts or suggestions?

(Networking with Windows 2000 is SOOOOO much easier!)

I have the same setup and had the same prob. i have solved it doing two things:
i have given each computer its own ip address and then told each computer to connect to a drive on the other as networkdrive (in xp explorer/extras/connect network drive)
let me know if that worked for u...
