Hi, all, We use Access as a front end to SQL database.
The problem with the Access 2000 project and XP machines is that XP gives each 'page' of the project a tab on the task bar, whereas earlier windows versions had one tab for the whole project. We want to hide the SQL Server database objects which we previously achieved by opening a form on start up, removing the menu bar and making the project close completely if that form was closed. It's a bit crude but on the whole it worked. XP however exposes the database objects with it's own tab.

We want to know how to get round this, as no objects should be visible to the users.

right-click the Taskbar, Properties, check to Group Similar Items. You can alos check to autohide the Tasksbar.

Hi, bcastner, thanks for the info. This is not quite what I mean. When Access opens the project, and then gets to the form asked for, behind the form there will be all the tables etc that SQL is using. What we want to do is prevent those tables from appearing at all. Windows XP seems to give all the SQL objects their own tab on the taskbar. We don't want there to be any tabs on the taskbar.
