Please put my mind at rest!

In the Xnet Trunk Group Ass are the 'number of trunks' the number of TDM trunks available for oubound calls on the remote system?

I.e if I had 60 isdn channels on the remote system [gateway] I would enter '60' in this form in the user gateway - but set the max number of calls to 200 in the XNET ICP/PBX Assignment... This would mean that there would be 200 available internal IP calls between systems but only 60 TDM calls.

Also, how would you create a solution so that you could make more than 200 calls between the systems internally, as you can only add 200 calls in one trunk group.

Thanks

Mr Mit.

The Xnet ICP/PBX assignment allows you to define the maximum limit for XNET trunk groups. It has a definition for both IP trunks and TDM.

The Xnet Trunk group defines the maximum number that any specific Xnet trunk group can use. Each trunk group needs to be defined as EITHER IP or TDM. A XNET TDM trunk group has no impact on the XNET IP calls to a system.

To use both TDM and IP requires 2 Xnet trunks groups minimum.

Using Multiple groups for IP might come into play to limit certain type of calls.

e.g. Set to set = X Calls
Set to External Trunk on remote system = X calls
Set to system to 3rd system = x calls (meshed networking)

Although each of the examples above can have trunk qty's Less than or equal to the value used in the Xnet ICP/PBX form, the total simultaneous use regardless of group is limited to the Qty in the XNET ICP/PBX form.

e.g.
XNET ICP/PBX set to 10 calls

Xnet grp 1 - set to 5 (3 in progress)
xnet grp 2 - set to 5 (3 in progress)
xnet grp 3 - set to 5 (maximum 4 of 10 remain)

Great stuff.

Well they currently have one Xnet TG which they use for both TDM and inter cluster traffic!

Clustering can be achieved over TDM or IP or Both

Each type requires it's own trunk group.

Please provide the values for the following fields in the IP /XNET Trunk Group Assignment Form

Network Signaling Type
Select a value of "ISDN" (PRI B-channel) or "IP" to indicate the signaling for this XNET trunk group.

Voice Medium Type:
Select a value of "TDM" or "IP" to identify the type of voice signaling used.

Actually, there is also a Hybrid using both TDM and IP.

Info requested above will clear things up.

P.S. Thanks for the Star.

Hmmm....

So how do I get more than 200 similtaneous calls between any 2 3300s?

If I totalled my TDM and internal call traffic then I will need more than 200 similtaneous calls.

I have had reports of Xnet busy on calls transfering between systems.

Thanks for your help.

I have 120 TDM trunks on sys A and 120 TDM trunks on sys B all calls routed to agents on MXe Server sys C....... All on a very busy call centre.

To add to this nearly very call is transferred back to sys B [where all the paths are] so another IP trunk is used!

How do I stat the Xnet link to see the status of each trunk?
