Just taken a lease on a building. Phone system was not booting up.
Have looked at trying to firmware buzz it, with various different firmwares, following the instructions carefully, but hell no - it won't go.

v frustrating I can tell you.

I am sure that if I get an RS232 xover cable connected to the programming port, and set it into debug mode, I'll probably some useless error about the Voicemail card or somewhat.

as it goes through, (orange led). led 2 (ready)
led 4 (whilst burning) ... then flashes led 2 and the led 2 on the voicemail card, in a most annoying way.

Gruble Grumble. Any suggestions.

Think your getting in too deep by upgrading firmware thinking that will make it boot!

Go back to basics and make sure your not plugging a digital telephone into an analogue extension, have you any wiring problems or are you plugging your phone direct into the ccu?

I've plugged the phone handsets directly into line 1 and 2. IE. Ext 200, and 201.

It's in situ anyway, and the wiring seems solid.

Its the orange light on the front of the CCU that your interested in, it should blink as it loads and then go steady once loaded?

you could try removing the voice mail card but if someone has been messing with it before you got there they could have damaged it?
