XModem failure to C3560G-24PS

I am trying to load c3560-ipbase-mz.122-35.SE5.bin to a C3560G-24PS switch. I deleted the previous corrupted image from flash, I have 32,501,760 free bytes in flash.

I have tried copy xmodem: flash:image_filename.bin. I receive the error message:

Begin the Xmodem or Xmodem-1K transfer now...
CCCCCCCCCCBB0BB0xmodem:: I/O error

I also tried (from Hyperterm)"Transfer", "Send File" I then selected the image, chose Xmodem and hit send. The error I received was "no response from the remote system."

I have tried Xmodem, Xmodem-1k, and Ymodem. I have also tried every terminal emulation possible.
I have no bootable files in Flash...


Does anyone have any ideas? Thx.

Looks like baud and other settings may be hosed---the config register can set baud for the switch itself, but why not try tftpdnld from rommon?

You can't on this platform, only recovery method is XModem. I recently hosed a customers Catalyst 3550 and had to recover it using XModem. I changed the baud rate to 115200 to speed things up but it kept failing on me. I then set the speed to 57600 and the recovery worked.

OK, I tried Xmodem & Xmodem-1k at 9600, 57600, and 115200 all with no success! Each time I get that I/O error message. I tired logging the session as well but it gave me no information other that the PC is trying to initiate the transfer but the switch is not responding....

Can you post what the config register is set to? Like I said, this can control the baud rate that the switch itself is set to...
Also, in HyperTerminal, do you have the pc set to transfer the image and to start the transfer?
