XMLDom on Mac OSX

I have just spent an entire day writing a nice compact little script for my menu system using JavaScript and XMLDom and then suddenly realised to my horror that it can't work on the Mac because obviously there is no Microsoft.XMLDom object to instansiate!!!

Is it game over back to the drawing board so to speak or can someone offer me a solution? Perhaps an equivilent object built ito OSX?

Please help me!!!
