We are downloading general ledger information from Oracle 11.5.10 using an XML report and opening it in Excel. The value columns are formated as number in the XML report. Using Excel 2010 we are getting a few cells coming across as text that should be numeric. Using Excel 2003 the majority of the lines came across as text instead of numeric. Note that the XML source report was the same for both downloads. Any ideas what is happening or what we should do to resolve the problem?
