Hello all,
I am new to XML and have been asked by my boss to investigate implementation of some Standard XML Schema or DTDs on some upcoming projects that we have. I have heard of there being standard XML definitions for certain industries (for example, the medical industry) to allow these industries to communicate their information between their various systems. I am after some standards for the manufacturing industry, or more specifically, related to customers, suppliers, documents, etc.
My problem is that I am having difficulty finding anything. Can anyone tell me if there is a universal web site that lists a whole bunch of these different industry XML standards, or do I have to search within the individual industry for for appropriate standards? How does it all work? Or, am I completely on the wrong track?

Many thanks in advance.
