XML perfomance

Hi everybody, i'm working in a program that uses DOM to write/read XML files. I need to know the maximum size for a XML file that DOM can load whitout affect the program perfomance.
 
Sorry, too many variables for anyone to say "it takes x seconds".

You'll need to run some performance tests on your hardware with your expected load and see for yourself.

I will tell you, however, that any XML file over 2mb will take a *noticeble* amount of time to load.
