Ok I have seen the various site around like w3schools but can anyone tell me in laymans terms what the steps are involved in reading an XML feed?

I would like to read an XML page, store the values in SQL, then read them out using HTML.

Where do I start? Are there any apps that do much of it or is it so simple you don't need anything complicated?

There's many different ways to do it. The simplest would be to use XSL to transform the XML into HTML.

If you want to store the values in SQL, you'll have to use some kind of server-side programming language. Which do you know? ASP.Net would be easiest.

ok thanks for the tip JontyMc.

Which language? Well, I'd be learning that too then...I know a little ASP so I'll go down that route, thanks!
