I have been reading on XML for Analysis. I was wondering if there are any posters who have experience in this.

I am not sure if this is another vendor standards hype.

Hi Jeanpierre,

Are you refering to xml dialects like FinXML, AnatML, ebXML, etc? I don't have any experience with them, but of course I have a oppinion about them :)

You can find more about these dialects at

Hi Jordi,

XML for Analysis, as far as I am aware, is not a dialect like ebXML etc.

Microsoft and Hyperion have join forces to create this standard for analysis functions such as Data Mining and OLAP.

The vendors see XML for Analysis replacing OLE DB for OLAP and OLE DB for Data Mining.
