XML filtering 1

Hi,

I'm pretty new to xml and am wondering, my server manager at work won't allow any scripting (asp/asp.net php) on his server, but he's graciously letting me use xml. My question is this. Is it possible to limit what entries from an xml file are shown on a web page by a parameter, ie show only courses from the xml file which are happening between two dates?

wow, the document is heavy reading. Can you point me to any tutorials on how to do it? I've got xml down, but never really used xsl other than for showing all xml entries in an html page.
