Hi,

I read an article related to XML events, it mentions <listener> element, what is <listener>?
 
There is no answer to your question: xml is a mark-up language, not a programming language - xml is just structured text. It does not raise events.
In your case, I guess that some program logs or passes events in a string, wich is formatted as xml.
