XML Element Structure

Problem: when exporting to XML from Indesign the XML tags appear in the order they were added to the page, rather than in a neat XML nested tree, for example all the headlines together and text elements together rather than by story

Question: Is there a quick way of retaining the XML structure for future documents? I can manually drag the elements in the structure pane, but I don't want to have to do this every time I publish

I am looking for a scalable solution, we publish 40+ magazines weekly and monthly, so it has to be easy to do across all publications

Thanks
Jo
